Patonga was known early on for its great fishing, especially flathead and jewfish. For various reasons, the fishing is nowhere near as good as what it was forty years ago when this photo was taken with my dad and uncle. Even so, it still remains a favourite activity for many visitors. Popular spots include Lillee Rock, The Creek, and the wharf.
